The Columbian in Vancouver, Washington, US

I have really enjoyed reading the Columbian as I familiarize myself with my new home and surroundings.nI like the frequency with which MAPS are presented with an article to make it easy to know which part of the county is being represented.nReporting national news is important, but so is knowing about local news and events. I think the Columbian covers both well, as well as international events.nI also find the reports on local politicians and the voting records of our representatives are meaningful.nThank you for your excellent paper!

When I moved to Clark County 34 years ago, I wanted to find out information about what was happening around me in Vancouver. The Columbian is our local paper and they do an excellent job. I appreciate all the local news from city to county council meetings and our local sports coverage. It was fun to follow when my boys were in the local school systems. It has been wonderful to read Patrick Timm's weather column over the years. I'm always quoting him to my friends and neighbors. I truly enjoy all the life articles as well. Thank you for keeping it a local paper and keeping us informed!

The Columbian and it's comprehensive coverage of the news by real journalists becomes more important every day considering the intrusion by AI generated content, and the bizarre content that is posted on many social media platforms. The Columbian is a rare and valuable resource for staying current on what is really happening, both locally and around the world. I continue to be grateful every time I receive my hard copy of the newspaper. And it's a special treat that I don't have to look at a digital video screen to get the news. Although the Columbian does provide this option to those who prefer digital over hard copy. Many thanks to the Columbian for their quality product!

The Columbian is an amazing local newspaper. It has a great mix of local, national and international news. The editorials are thoughtful. I love to start with the political cartoons. The living section features cover so many topics: books, music, gardening, . medical advice and more. The weather page has useful information and Patrick Timm is a delight. I appreciate being able to get a print copy and look forward to reading it.

The Columbian newspaper is an important piece for our family's involvement. It's a connector for us with things that matter. Sometimes it's a connection to a new service or person or place being offered but other times it's an old familiar place or person that we need to reconnect. The Columbian gives us topics to discuss with friends and family about what's important right now. We value having topics to talk about within our community with others. The Columbian is a great source for community matters. The Columbian also gives us unbiased information that our family needs to make better decisions about the local leadership of our community and State.nWe are thankful for the work of the Columbian. We especially appreciate the community activities that the Columbian provides from time to time for meeting local decision makers in presentations at their facility as well as the reporting and photography presentations in how the newspaper works. I had been a long-time reader of The Columbian (15 years or so) until I moved out of state for a job. When I retired, I moved back home (here in Washington). Resubscribing to The Columbian was top on my list to be an informed Clark County Washingtonian again.nnIt is imperative for our democracy (regardless of political affiliation) for a free press. Where else can we find news and information about our community that is fact checked and rigorous? Only The Columbian.nnIt is important to support The Columbian so they can continue to invest in journalists who adhere to truth and rigor. It is important to remain informed about our community regardless of our interests.
