I called to speak with the editor (David Flickinger) to suggest corrections in the Southbelt - Ellington Leader. Yen Huynh Rabe and Karen Ri'chard McMillan won the race for Clear Brook City MUD. Yen's middle name was left out in the body. Karen's middle name had an 's' added to it within the article. In the subtitle, Karen's name was left out and she was merely addressed as the 'challenger' yet the loser's last name was clearly stated.nWhen I made my suggestion, Mr. Flickinger became hostile, yelled at me and stated he had already spoken to Ms. McMillan for thirty minutes about this. How was I to know this? He yelled for me to call him back at the end of the week.nnMy call was not to ridicule. I was about community, helping one another. I'm disappointed in Mr. Flickinger's poor behavior. For reference, the edition was Vol. 51, No.14 dated Thursday, May 7, 2026.
