Best magazine store in San Francisco with a very large selection of international magazines and some great books.

I’m so glad this place exists! Fadi has been running this newsstand for 30 years. It’s beautifully organized, clean, and has a wide selection of magazines and papers. I come here for my favorite journalism: Harper’s, New Yorker, Economist, and SF magazines. Fadi just introduced me to the Monacle. I grab People magazine for my grandma!nnI like to buy magazines one-off; this allows me to explore and choose issues that interest me, rather than having a subscription that makes me feel guilty about the pile-up of issues I haven’t read. Stop by this shop for brain food, nostalgia, & a break from digital!

One of the last neighborhood shops like this! Outstanding selection of domestic and international magazines and newspapers! I love the French, British (Vogue) and Italian fashion & décor as well as travel magazines. I’ve also bought Harvard Business Review/MIT guides here. One of the last independent small business like this! Stop by, pickup a magazine or newspaper, wave to the shop dog and go to a neighborhood coffee shop (Saint Frank’s, Peet’s, Phil’s, etc)

I was so excited to find this place other day; it’s like a proper NYC magazine shop! I can’t believe I’ve lived here for so long and have never been here.nnGreat selection of harder-to-find magazines plus new ones. The owner is super nice and well-versed, and I think took my likely odd over excitement enduringly.

Great small spot in vibrant neighborhood. They carry a great selection of magazines and are knowledgeable. Went in looking for a magazine from Europe and found it along with their sister publication. Definitely must stop by if you enjoy a physical/tactile reading experience.

How come so few newstands in sf ; doesn’t anyone read here ? The lyric line “Newspapers taxis appear on the shore” traverses my mind ; this is a well stocked store of magazines and papers. Service should come with a smile instead of a stiff upper lip; but it’s very professional
