We're very happy with the outcome. We looked around quite a bit before deciding to go with Cold Spring Carpet. When we first went to the store we found them to be extremely nice and not pressuring whatsoever. Tim even ordered in a sample they did not have in stock so we could see what it would look like in our house. When we were pretty sure we were going to go with them, Virgil (one of the owners) came out and took measurements. He was very detail-oriented. We had been debating between solid and engineered floors, but he told us that because solid wood was thicker, it would not be ideal for our situation (hard to explain, but the base for the railing would not be flush with solid wood floors, though it would be with engineered floors). The install took about 1 1/2 days and Tim (Virgil's son) was an excellent craftsman (also with attention to detail) and we are very happy with the outcome. The only very minor issue is that it took them a while to get us on their schedule. It was worth the wait, however. They even disposed of the old carpet we had removed for us! The attached picture--which doesn't really show the true richness--shows the stairs, which really impressed us, though all that they did impressed us. The store front may not be impressive, but the overall business and everyone we worked with are, and they do have a very nice selection of flooring.

Erin is wonderful to work with while we decided what to put in. She was also amazing when we had to hold off our project because of other delays. She was flexible and never pressured us. When we were ready for our installation, everything went smooth and fast. The installers were friendly and fast. We love all the flooring we had installed. Thank you for the great experience!
