Pulaski, VA – Linda Creger Webb, a beloved educator and adventurous spirit, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the age of 85. A lifelong resident of Pulaski, Virginia, Mrs.webb dedicated three decades to inspiring students at Pulaski Middle School and leaves behind a legacy of warmth, curiosity, and a zest for life.
Born May 13, 1940, Linda creger Webb embraced learning throughout her life, earning degrees from New River Community College and Radford College in the mid-1970s. She taught special education and math, impacting generations with her dedication and kindness. Known affectionately as “sweetie” and “Momma” by the staff at English Meadows,she was a cherished member of the community.
Mrs. Webb’s adventurous spirit extended far beyond the classroom. Despite initially fearing water, she bravely explored the underwater world, snorkeling in destinations including Belize, Jamaica, the Bahamas, capri, Maui, Pompeii, and Costa Rica.There,she experienced the wonder of swimming alongside green and leatherback sea turtles and witnessing manta rays feeding at night in Molokini.
A devoted wife to marvin “Bud” Webb, who preceded her in death, Mrs. Webb is survived by her children, Joby Boyd and her husband Keith, and Janet Hill and her husband Don. She also leaves behind her grandson, Robert Boyd, his wife Stephanie, and their son, Jack. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Lucy Ellen Grey Creger and Corbett Lee Creger, and her sister, Carolyn Brumby.
Beyond her travels,Mrs.Webb was a passionate supporter of the Virginia Tech Hokies, a prolific reader, and enjoyed a diverse musical taste ranging from Andrea Bocelli to dan Vasc. She remained active well into her 80s, enjoying biking, hiking, badminton, tennis, racquetball, and dancing.She also held a special place in her heart for her granddogs, Toby, Ella, and Mindy.
A private ceremony will be held to celebrate Mrs. Webb’s life. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, a cause she deeply supported.
Linda Creger Webb’s radiant spirit will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her, as she is now reunited with her husband, “Bud,” in eternal peace.
