Arpal has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms across the Levante region (Area C) on Monday,July 28,2025,from 2 AM to 10 AM. Other areas of the region face a low probability of severe thunderstorms.
“between this afternoon and tonight,” explained Cristina Capacci, “we’ll see an increase in medium to high cloudiness from the west due to an approaching disturbance. This could bring showers or thunderstorms overnight, especially over central reliefs, extending to the coast and eastward, were strong, localized downpours are possible.”
“It will be a rapid passage,” the expert concluded. “During the morning,there will be significant cloud cover over central areas,with more persistent clouds in the east,and residual phenomena extending into the afternoon,especially over the Apennine reliefs.The sea will be very rough to the east due to long libeccio waves, and rough elsewhere.”

There is a high probability of strong and/or organized thunderstorms, with a low probability elsewhere. In the morning, the phenomena will diminish, but instability will persist with possible showers or thunderstorms, especially over Area C and the reliefs of Area A, with local extension to the coast. Locally strong winds (40-50 km/h) and northerly air are expected, with a very rough sea due to long libeccio waves.
