Liga MX Schedule: Chivas Leads, Clásico & Key Matchups – Feb 13-15, 2026

Mazatlán FC remains the only winless team in the Liga MX Clausura 2026 tournament after falling 2-1 to Chivas de Guadalajara on Friday, extending Chivas’ perfect start to the season to five games. Efraín Álvarez and Armando González scored for Chivas in the first half, securing the victory despite a second-half goal from Édgar Bárcenas for Mazatlán.

Álvarez opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a free kick that exploited a gap in the Mazatlán defense, according to reports. González then converted a penalty in the 29th minute, marking his fourth goal of the tournament and placing him near the top of the league’s scoring charts. Bárcenas responded for Mazatlán in the 56th minute with a well-executed free kick of his own.

With the win, Chivas maintains a firm grip on the league lead with 15 points, five ahead of Tigres, Cruz Azul, and Atlas. Tigres earlier in the day defeated Santos Laguna 5-1, while Necaxa defeated San Luis 4-1 and Tijuana drew 0-0 with Puebla. The victory sets up a highly anticipated Clásico Nacional next weekend, where Chivas will host América.

Mazatlán, preparing for a relocation and rebranding as Atlante in Mexico City, continues to struggle. The team’s five consecutive defeats leave them at the bottom of the Liga MX standings. The club is currently undergoing a transition period, adding to the challenges faced on the field.

The fifth jornada of the Clausura 2026 continues this weekend with several key matchups. América will face Monterrey on Friday, followed by Toluca versus Cruz Azul. Saturday’s schedule includes Querétaro against León, Atlas versus Pumas, and Pachuca hosting Juárez. The weekend concludes on Sunday with matches between Guadalajara and Puebla, and León against Juárez.
