Marcorignan students Rally against Bullying on National Awareness Day
Marcorignan, France – Students at teh École de Marcorignan demonstrated a unified front against school bullying on the national day of action, observed annually on the first Thursday following the All Saints’ Day holiday. The school-wide initiative, part of the nationwide Phare program, transformed hallways into vibrant displays of student-created artwork and fostered crucial conversations about respectful behavior.
the national day, formally recognized by the French Ministry of National Education, serves as a critical reminder that fostering respect, active listening, and kindness is a shared duty among students and educators alike.Bullying impacts countless young people, creating unsafe learning environments and hindering academic and social-emotional progress. The École de MarcorignanS participation underscores a proactive approach to prevention, detection, and intervention, aiming to cultivate a more secure and inclusive school climate.
Under the guidance of their teachers, students channeled their energy into creating posters, drawings, bracelets, and preventative messages centered around the theme “non au harcèlement” (NAH – No to Bullying). These colorful creations were prominently displayed throughout the school, sparking dialog and encouraging reflection on the issue.
Beyond the artistic expressions, each classroom dedicated time to open discussions and awareness-building exercises. Students learned to identify the diverse forms bullying can take – verbal, physical, social, and digital – and were empowered to speak up and seek support from trusted adults. the lessons emphasized that reporting bullying is essential and that help is available.
