Saïd opened the scoring in the 24th minute, capitalizing on a lay-off from Odsonne Edouard. He doubled the lead just before halftime, finding the top corner off a cross from Saud Abdulhamid. Fofana then sealed the victory with two late goals, in the 90th and 90+5 minutes, exploiting a visibly discouraged Paris FC defense.

The victory marks a continued surge for Lens, who have won all their matches since a 3-1 setback against Marseille on January 24th. Despite missed opportunities – Edouard hitting the post and the crossbar – Lens maintained relentless pressure, with Thauvin also causing problems for the Parisian defense throughout the match.
