K-actress lee Si-young Welcomes Baby Girl Conceived Via IVF Following Divorce
South Korean actress Lee si-young has welcomed a baby girl, conceived through in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) after her divorce. Lee made the decision to undergo the procedure without the consent of her former husband, Mr. cho, and was prepared to raise the child as a single mother.
Mr. Cho initially expressed opposition to Lee’s decision,given their divorced status,but stated to South Korean media outlet Dispatch that he would fulfill his responsibilities as a father upon learning of her pregnancy.
Lee, a former amateur boxer who competed from 2010 to 2015, continued an active lifestyle during her pregnancy, participating in the 2025 Sydney Marathon in August while approximately seven months pregnant. She completed a 5km race with her child, Jung-yoon, on August 30th and a solo 10km race the following day.
Lee was last seen on screen in the 2025 comedy-action drama Salon De Holmes,where she played one of four housewives who become amateur sleuths.
