Actress Lee Da Hae initially turned down advances from K-Pop idol Se7en, believing she was too good for him, before resorting to attending early-morning prayer services to prompt him to call her again.

The details emerged on October 21 when Lee Da Hae appeared in a video on Jang Young Ran’s YouTube channel. Welcoming Jang Young Ran and comedian Shim Jin Hwa into her home in Shanghai, China, the actress discussed the early stages of her relationship with Se7en.

When the K-Pop singer initially pursued her, the two were merely acquaintances. Lee Da Hae admitted she felt dating him would be a bad idea and eventually told him to stop contacting her. Se7en took the rejection seriously and ceased reaching out.

As the silence stretched on, Lee Da Hae realized she had developed feelings for him. Desperate for him to resume contact, she began attending early-morning prayer services specifically to pray for a phone call from him.

Her prayers succeeded when Se7en eventually reached out, prompting an immediate response from the actress. The couple subsequently began dating, maintaining a relationship for nearly a decade before marrying in May 2023.

Following their marriage, the couple is preparing to welcome their first child, a daughter, in November 2026.
