Led Zeppelin‘s ‘Live‘ ‌EP‍ Lands in Top 10, Marking First New‍ Chart Peak in‍ a Decade

Led Zeppelin achieved a new top‌ 10 ⁤on the Billboard Top Album ‌Sales chart⁢ with the release of their Live EP, their thirteenth to ⁢do‌ so. The band has accumulated 22 appearances on the chart with slightly more than half resulting in⁢ top 10 ‍rankings. This marks Led ⁤Zeppelin’s first new top 10 album⁣ in a decade, following The Complete BBC Sessions in october 2016, which peaked at No. 10 on the vinyl roster.

While successful in album sales, Led ⁢Zeppelin has only once topped ‍the Top Album Sales‌ tally, with How the West Was Won in⁤ 2003. The Live EP also returns the band to the upper ‌ranks⁢ of the vinyl chart, a position they last held in August 2015 when Presence, In Through the Out Door, and‍ Coda debuted at Nos. 2,‍ 3, and 4,⁢ respectively.

The EP’s‌ release on September 12 ‌coincided with the fiftieth anniversary of Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti, originally released in 1975. Both a special ⁣anniversary edition of Physical Graffiti and the Live EP were made available to fans.

The Live EP features four ‍tracks: “In My Time of Dying” and “Trampled Underfoot” recorded at Earls Court in 1975, and “Sick Again” and “Kashmir” captured at a‌ 1979 show in Knebworth.‍

Beyond the ‌Top Album Sales chart, the EP‌ debuted on three additional Billboard charts: ‌No. 12 ‍on Top Hard Rock Albums, ⁤and No. 38 on top Rock & Option Albums. It also landed at No.150 on ⁢the Billboard ⁢200, moving approximately 9,650 equivalent units, with‌ minimal contribution from streaming or individual track sales.
