LeBron James is playing his 21st season in the NBA – and has now been named to the league’s All-Star team for the 20th time. The other starting players for the event are also known.
LeBron James set another record in the NBA and was elected to the All-Star team of the best basketball league in the world for the 20th time in his career.
The 39-year-old from the Los Angeles Lakers received the most votes from fans, colleagues and journalists and will lead the Western Conference team as captain on February 18th. The same honor goes to Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Eastern Conference’s Milwaukee Bucks.
The Eastern Conference starting lineup also includes Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers) and Damian Lillard (Milwaukee Bucks).
James’ team includes Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns), Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets), Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), who will be on the field at the start. Whoever will be playing in the NBA’s All-Star Game in Indianapolis will announce next week that they will be reserve players. The votes for this come from the head coaches of the NBA teams.
