Laredo Kid will defend his AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against T.J. Perkins on the February 21st episode of Lucha Libre AAA, which will air on Fox at 8 PM in Mexico and Central America. The match was set after Perkins earned a title shot by defeating Mini Vikingo, Elio LeFleur and Chris Carter in a four-way contest on January 31st, 2026.
The February 21st event, already taped on February 7th, 2026, features a contract signing for a Rey de Reyes match between El Hijo del Vikingo and Dominik Mysterio. Also scheduled is a singles match between Abismo Negro and El Fiscal.
Perkins, a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion, has competed in CMLL and NJPW throughout 2025, building momentum toward his return to a major championship opportunity. The upcoming match represents a significant challenge for Laredo Kid, who has held the AAA World Cruiserweight title for an unspecified period.
