Lamborghini Revuelto SV: Most Powerful V12 Hybrid Ever Revealed

August 14, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

Unveiled on August 14, 2026, at Monterey Car Week in California, the Lamborghini Revuelto Super Veloce is a track-focused hybrid flagship generating 1,065 horsepower from its V12 drivetrain. According to reports from Motoring Research and CNBC, the limited-edition vehicle accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 2.4 seconds, hits a top speed of 214 mph, and is reserved for 1,963 buyers with a starting price of $741,172.

Engineering the Most Powerful Production Lamborghini

The Revuelto SV builds directly upon the standard model’s architecture while significantly raising output. According to technical specifications shared by Motoring Research, the powertrain couples a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 petrol engine with three electric motors—two axial flux units on the front axle and a single radial flux motor positioned above the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. This configuration delivers a combined torque figure of 1,051 lb-ft.

Power rises by 50 horsepower over the standard Revuelto, while dry weight remains pegged at 1,772 kg. To support this added output on the track, the lithium-ion battery capacity for the plug-in hybrid system has nearly doubled to 7.3 kWh, though the setup focuses purely on performance enhancement rather than extended electric-only driving range.

Aerodynamic Upgrades and Track-Focused Dynamics

Aerodynamic performance defines the exterior changes on the Super Veloce. As detailed by product line director Alessandro Farmeschi to CNBC, the vehicle incorporates sharper angles, bolder fins, and a prominent double-wing rear spoiler designed to maximize downforce. Front-end modifications, including a jutting splitter and angled fins, double the downforce at the front axle compared to a standard Revuelto.

Handling precision is managed via a newly developed suspension layout featuring manually adjustable dampers, allowing teams to optimize the setup for flat, bumpy, or wet circuits. Stopping power comes from newly introduced CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic brakes with 420mm front discs and 410mm rear discs, which reduce stopping distances from 124 mph by 11 percent, bringing the car to a halt in 110 metres according to track testing data.

The Evolution of the Super Veloce Lineage

The SV designation carries a 55-year history that began with the Miura SV in 1971, of which only 150 units were originally produced. Subsequent iterations included the Diablo SV in 1996, the Murcielago SV in 2009, and the Aventador SVJ in 2018. True to the lineage, production of the Revuelto SV is strictly capped at 1,963 units—a direct nod to the year Ferruccio Lamborghini founded the automaker.

Inside the cabin, the SV features unadorned carbon fibre door panels, a driver-centric layout, and standard Sports Seats that combine a padded carbon shell with adjustable backrests, alongside optional fixed-back Race Seats. Drivers can engage the newly introduced ‘Pilota’ mode via a red-ringed steering wheel button, accessing five customizable levels of traction control, stability control, and anti-lock braking inspired by GT3 racing.

As limited-production allocations sell out prior to public disclosure, market values for flagship V12 Lamborghinis traditionally remain resilient.
