Kyrgios and Kokkinakis fall to Kubler and Polmans in Australian Open doubles match

On‍ Thursday night, Kyrgios and⁤ Kokkinakis showcased a more subdued performance, though they still delighted the ⁤crowd with their signature antics.

“Who had Special K this morning?” a fan shouted.‍ Kyrgios promptly raised his hand in response.

The first set featured flashes⁢ of brilliance, but both Kyrgios and Kokkinakis appeared slightly​ sluggish and struggled with their serves.

The two teams remained⁢ evenly ⁤matched throughout the first‌ set. However, Polmans and Kubler gained a crucial advantage after​ a playful underarm serve ‍from Kyrgios, earning them a break‌ point.

The “Special ‌Ks” ultimately lost the⁣ opening set 4-6 and found themselves ⁣in a vulnerable position. ⁣They quickly rebounded, however, taking the second set 6-4.

After kokkinakis landed a winning‌ forehand, Kyrgios nearly collided with⁤ him during the⁣ celebration before they both turned to watch the ⁤replay on ⁤the screens.
