A pattern of supervisor-led harassment

Kylie Jenner faces second housekeeper lawsuit over workplace harassment

May 1, 2026 Chief editor of world-today-news.com Entertainment
Reality star Kylie Jenner is facing a second lawsuit from a former housekeeper in less than two weeks. The latest filing in L.A. County Superior Court alleges a pattern of race and national origin discrimination, harassment, and a failure by the employer to intervene despite direct pleas for help.

The legal pressure on the 28-year-old beauty mogul intensified Wednesday with the filing of a lawsuit by Juana Delgado Soto. This action follows a nearly identical complaint filed on April 17 by another former housekeeper, Angelica Hernandez Vasquez. The timing of these two filings brings attention to the management of the reality star’s domestic staff and raises questions regarding the liability of the employer in relation to the conduct of supervisors.

Soto, who began her employment in May 2019, brings 20 causes of action against Jenner, Kylie Jenner Inc., supervisor Itzel Sibrian, Tri Star Services, and La Maison Family Services. The claims include wrongful termination, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and failure to pay wages. While the lawsuit does not directly accuse the reality star of bullying, it alleges that Jenner failed to prevent or remedy a toxic environment created by her subordinates.

A pattern of supervisor-led harassment

The core of Soto’s complaint centers on her relationship with supervisor Itzel Sibrian. According to court documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times, the harassment escalated in late 2023 when Sibrian became Soto’s direct supervisor. Soto alleges that Sibrian mocked her foreign accent, immigration status, and race, at one point calling her stupid.

The retaliation allegedly intensified after Soto filed a complaint with Human Resources in 2024. While Sibrian was temporarily removed from her position following the report, the lawsuit claims she was later reinstated and subsequently targeted Soto. This retaliation allegedly manifested as reduced hourly wages, the assignment of unreasonable workloads, and arbitrary changes to her work schedule.

One specific instance cited in the filing occurred on Soto’s birthday. The plaintiff alleges that as she prepared to leave work, Sibrian threatened to fire her if she did not stay late, stating, no one cares about your birthday, Kylie is having a dinner. Soto claims this forced her to miss her own surprise party.

The disconnect between luxury and labor

The lawsuits detail the working conditions of the domestic staff employed by the mogul. Soto describes a physically demanding workload requiring continuous labor without relief, noting that her duties involved cleaning and maintaining the residence during afternoon and evening hours, often continuing after other staff members had completed their shifts.

Beyond the physical toll, the filings allege that the employee was subjected to harassment. This is echoed in the April 17 suit by Angelica Hernandez Vasquez, who described a hostile work environment where supervisors snapped their fingers at her and treated her as inferior because of her Salvadoran background. According to USA Today, Vasquez’s claims also focused on discrimination based on race, national origin, religion, and disability.

Soto’s experience further deteriorated in late 2024 under the leadership of supervisors referred to as Patsy and Elsy. The lawsuit alleges that Soto was denied adequate time to grieve the sudden death of her brother and was instead told to report to work immediately. She claims other staff members whispered that she was lying about the death and forced her to pick up trash they had purposely thrown on the ground.

What to watch: The L.A. County Superior Court will examine the evidence regarding the “failure to prevent” claims to determine if the employer had sufficient notice of the alleged harassment to be held legally responsible for the actions of the supervisors.

A failed plea for intervention

The most critical point of tension in the case is the allegation that the reality star was notified of the abuse but did not act. In April 2025, after repeated failures by management to address her concerns, Soto wrote a long letter detailing the harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. She placed this letter on Jenner’s massage bed immediately before a scheduled massage.

According to the filing reported by TMZ, this attempt to reach the employer backfired. Soto claims she was subsequently threatened with termination and instructed to never contact Jenner again. The lawsuit alleges that defendants told her she was no longer allowed to Look at Kylie or Smile at Kylie, and that if she saw the reality star, she would have to disappear.

The plaintiff alleges that despite her attempts to report the misconduct directly to the employer, the response resulted in further threats of job loss rather than an investigation into the supervisors’ behavior.

Legal risks in the L.A. County Superior Court

The filing of two similar lawsuits within a single week places Jenner and her affiliated companies in a position where they must address multiple claims of employee mistreatment. By naming both the individual star and the corporate entities, the plaintiffs are targeting the entire infrastructure of the household’s employment system.

The focus on race and national origin discrimination, combined with claims of withheld meal and rest breaks, moves the case beyond simple interpersonal conflict and into the realm of statutory labor violations. The lawsuit specifically highlights that a supervisor was reinstated after an HR complaint and subsequently retaliated against the whistleblower, a claim that the plaintiffs argue demonstrates a failure of oversight.

Representatives for Kylie Jenner have declined to comment or have not yet responded to requests for a statement. A representative noted on Thursday that the reality star had not yet seen the lawsuit.
