Polish First League club GKS 1909 Kraków reportedly contacted Portuguese manager Gonçalo Feio,35,regarding their head coaching position,according too KR24.pl. However, the club has swiftly denied the reports.
GKS 1909 Kraków currently sits fourth in the first League table with 14 points, five points behind the league leader, and has a game in hand.
The club aims for promotion to the Polish Premier League, a mission entrusted to current coach Przemysław Cecherz, 52, who successfully guided the team to the First League last season.
Feio has been without a club since July 13th, following his departure from French side USL dunkerque, where he did not manage any matches.He previously managed Legia warsaw and Motor Lublin, achieving promotion to the First League with the latter.
GKS 1909 Kraków officials state that the reports are unfounded and the team remains fully focused on their upcoming Monday match against Stal Mielec, seeking three points to climb above Wisła Kraków in the standings. The match is scheduled to begin at 19:00.
