Anime Voice Actors shiraishi Haruka & Sugita tomokazu Appear in Live-Action “Kowloon Generic Romance”
TOKYO – Voice actors Shiraishi Haruka and Sugita Tomokazu, known for their roles in the TV anime adaptation, will make cameo appearances in the upcoming live-action film “Kowloon Generic Romance.” The film, starring winners of prestigious Japan Academy Awards - Haruka Ayase and Tsuneji Mizukami – is set to release soon.
Shiraishi reprises her role as Reiko, appearing as an announcer in a television program within the film promoting “generic terra” developed by the pharmaceutical company run by Ryusei Ryo’s character, Miyuki Januma. She is shown promoting the company while holding a “Genetera-chan” doll. Sugita Tomokazu lends his voice as the narrator for the same television program, bringing the anime characters Reiko and Kudo back together on screen.
The film also features a cast including Shuntaro Yanagi,Minami Umezawa (of Nogizaka46),Kotone hanase,and Figaro Tseng.
Shiraishi expressed her support for Yoshioka, who portrays Reiko in the live-action adaptation, stating, “The live-action Reiko is also very attractive, so I hope everyone will watch it soon! We are rooting for this film to convey to many people!” Her scenes were included in the collaboration PV for Kroi’s theme song, “HAZE.”
“Kowloon Generic Romance” is a live-action adaptation that builds upon the world established in the anime version.
