KOSESS 2026: Latest Advances in Spinal Endoscopy Surgery
South Korean spine surgeon Yang Dong-hoon of EsopoHang Hospital received the Excellent Presentation Award at the KOSESS 2026 Case Study Conference earlier this month, the hospital announced Friday.
The Korean Society of Endoscopic Spinal Surgery (KOSESS) conference, held January 12th, serves as a forum for sharing the latest advancements in endoscopic spinal surgery and addressing complex clinical challenges, according to a statement from the organization.
Yang presented a case study titled “Intraradicular Lumbar Disc Herniation – One of the Rarest Forms of Disc Rupture,” focusing on a challenging surgical case involving a rare form of disc rupture that is difficult to diagnose and has a high rate of surgical failure. His presentation garnered significant attention from attendees and led to the award from KOSESS.
“I am honored to receive the Excellent Presentation Award,” Yang said, according to a statement released by EsopoHang Hospital. “I will continue to dedicate myself to research and clinical experience to advance the field of endoscopic spinal surgery.”
Separately, Kim Jae-hwan, a neurosurgeon at Saehim Hospital, presented at the KOSESS 2026 Case Study Conference, held March 14-15 in Yeosu, according to a blog post from Saehim Hospital. Details of Kim’s presentation were not immediately available.
