This pairing draws from a concept previously utilized in AAA, where creating “clones” of wrestlers was a common practice. konnan noted that AEW adopting this idea is typical in the wrestling world, stating, “Once you have an idea, it’s all up for grabs.” The connection between Hologram and Arez extends beyond the cloning concept; they share a history from their time working together in AAA and MLW,where Hologram wrestled under the name Aramis.
Konnan highlighted his role in helping Arez secure a spot in MLW, though he acknowledged the experience wasn’t positive for either wrestler. Despite this past challenge,he expressed confidence in their in-ring chemistry,predicting “really good matches” between Hologram and El Clon.
