October 27, 2026 Rachel Kim – Technology Editor Technology

Warhorse Studios has suffered a cyberattack that resulted in unauthorized access to both company systems and data. The developer behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance announced a cyberattack following a post on X, confirming unauthorized access to company systems and data.

Warhorse Studios Works with Experts to Secure Systems

In a statement, the studio said it is working with cybersecurity experts to secure our systems, investigate the incident, and assess its full impact. Studio CEO Martin Frývaldský addressed Czech media to describe the event, stating, This is a serious incident for Warhorse Studios and for everyone affected.

Frývaldský added that the studio’s immediate priority is to secure the systems, determine the full extent of the breach, and take all necessary steps to protect our employees, partners, and our community, noting that the company is deploying all necessary capabilities and resources to address the situation. While the investigation continues, Warhorse Studios is not conducting interviews or providing additional comments at this time, though representatives have promised to share further information as soon as they responsibly can.

Attackers May Target Player Data or Unreleased Titles

The studio is currently known for developing upcoming projects that include a new Kingdom Come adventure and a role-playing game set in JRR Tolkien’s Middle-earth. While the purpose of the attack and its exact impact remain undisclosed, potential targets for attackers could involve player data or details regarding these unreleased titles. Such an incident carries the risk of unauthorized material leaks similar to those previously experienced by other major developers, though industry security breaches vary widely in their intent and scope.
