Kim Kardashian Reportedly ‘Done’ with Meghan Markle Following Birthday Party Request
Los Angeles, CA – Kim Kardashian is reportedly distancing herself from Meghan Markle after a request to remove photos from social media following Kris Jenner‘s 70th birthday celebration, according to sources. The lavish James Bond-themed party, held November 8th, drew a star-studded guest list including Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex.
Images shared by Jenner and Kardashian featuring Harry and meghan subsequently disappeared from their Instagram accounts days later, prompting speculation. An insider revealed the deletion stemmed from concerns the couple had about potential misinterpretations of their attendance. Specifically, Harry reportedly worried the appearance coudl negatively impact his ongoing efforts to repair his relationship with King charles III. The timing of the party, extending into the morning of November 9th – Remembrance Day in the UK – also raised concerns. Meghan’s lack of a traditional poppy was also noted on social media.
According to Star magazine, Harry and Meghan requested Kardashian and Jenner remove the photos, wich they ultimately did without public comment. Though, the source claims Kardashian was “dissatisfied” with the situation. “She’s never been in this position before, it’s always her calling the shots in these situations. Here she was inviting them past the velvet rope and they repay her by acting like they’re too good to be seen partying with her. it’s a slap in the face – and one she can’t let slide,” the source stated.
Meghan Markle, however, reportedly remains unapologetic. A source indicated she views the interactions as “just networking” and denies any ”sinister agenda.” In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Markle addressed public perception, stating, “There’s no such thing as perfect. I,too,get to make mistakes.” She further added, “The moment that you start making all of your personal decisions based on external judgment, then you lose your authenticity.”
This incident follows recent reports of a “rude” response from Markle to a netflix crew, which also sparked public reaction.
