Key Archewell Productions Executive Chanel Pysnik Leaves Sussex Firm

Key Archewell Productions Executive Chanel Pysnik Leaves Sussex Firm

November 4, 2026 Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor Entertainment

Chanel Pysnik, a former Disney+ and CNN executive who won an Emmy for her work on Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, has left her role as head of nonfiction TV and film at Archewell Productions, Deadline reports.

Departure of the Top Nonfiction Executive

The departure marks a significant shift for the production company established by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2020. Pysnik served as one of the firm’s earliest hires and played a central role in shaping its unscripted slate, which included the Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan.

In a statement, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex acknowledged Pysnik’s contributions to the company. “Chanel was one of our very first hires at Archewell Productions and spearheaded the strategic framework for our unscripted endeavors,” they stated, adding that she led with her heart and leaves a celebrated legacy.

Pysnik described her nearly six-year tenure as an honor. “Together, we have produced work that has broken records, earned awards, and screened at prestigious film festivals, while reaching audiences around the world and contributing to important cultural conversations,” she said in a statement.

Future Plans for the Principals

While Pysnik has not yet announced her next career move in television, the transition comes as Meghan prepares for a major international television project. The Mirror noted that the Duchess has been confirmed as the new host of Junior MasterChef Australia. She is scheduled to travel to Australia in 2027 for several weeks of filming, following a guest appearance on the main MasterChef Australia show earlier in the year.
