Kevin Rodríguez Zavala‘s Death Ruled an Accident Following Expert Review of Epic Universe Roller coaster Incident
ORLANDO, Florida – The Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner’s Office has resolute that 32-year-old Kevin Rodríguez Zavala’s death on Wednesday at Epic Universe’s Stardust Racers roller coaster was the result of multiple injuries sustained from forceful impact, according to initial expert opinions.
Authorities clarified that Rodríguez Zavala did not fall from the attraction. Forensic pathologist Joshua Stephany stated the death has been classified as an accident, with autopsy findings consistent with the physical forces experienced during the ride. “The results of the initial expert review confirm this was an accident. Kevin’s injuries were a result of multiple impacts during the course of the ride,” Stephany explained.
Rodríguez Zavala was transported to a local hospital unconscious following the incident.
