NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Country music superstars Kenny Chesney and Dierks Bentley will perform live at College GameDay in Nashville this Saturday, ESPN announced. The performances will take place on Wyatt Lawn during the show.
Comedian and actor Nate Bargatze, a Middle Tennessee native, will represent Vanderbilt University as the guest picker ahead of the game.
college GameDay’s visit marks its first return to Nashville since 2008, when the Commodores defeated Auburn 14-13 and improved to a 5-0 record. Vanderbilt entered Saturday’s game against LSU ranked No.17 in the Associated Press Top 25 and climbed to No. 10 in the latest rankings released Sunday. Missouri, coming off a 23-17 double-overtime win against Auburn with a game-winning run by quarterback Beau Pribula, also holds a 6-1 season record.
Both Vanderbilt and Missouri are 6-1 overall and 2-1 in SEC play. Vanderbilt’s only loss this season was on the road against Alabama, a team that also defeated Missouri earlier in the season.
FirstBank Stadium is sold out for the highly anticipated ranked in-conference matchup. The pre-game show will air live at 8 a.m. before Saturday’s kickoff.
