KCCI and LCCI Unite to Drive Pakistan‘s Economic ​Recovery

Karachi, Pakistan – The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and⁢ Industry (KCCI) and the Lahore Chamber⁢ of⁣ Commerce and Industry (LCCI) have announced a strengthened ‍collaboration aimed at supporting Pakistan’s economic revival.‌ This move follows similar cooperative efforts initiated by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers ‍of Commerce and⁢ Industry (FPCCI), signaling a growing consensus​ among⁣ key business organizations.

Addressing Policy Inconsistencies and Private Sector ⁢Neglect

During a meeting held at the KCCI headquarters ⁢on ‍Saturday, KCCI President Rehan hanif and LCCI President Faheem ur Rehman Saigol jointly emphasized ‌the detrimental effects of inconsistent government policies ​and⁢ the perceived neglect of the private sector ‌on Pakistan’s economic stability. Both leaders agreed that a⁤ more ‌proactive and inclusive approach ⁢is crucial.

Pakistan’s economy survives ⁢due to its natural and human resources,but⁢ mismanagement undermines‌ its ‍potential.

Call for Business Community Involvement in Policymaking

Mr. ‌Saigol underscored ​the need for greater business‌ community involvement in the legislative process. He stated, “KCCI and LCCI ⁣are aligned in seeking ⁤a rightful role in policymaking. Legislation should be ⁢developed in consultation wiht the business community, which understands how tax⁣ collection can be more effective.” The presidents⁤ stressed the importance ‍of a unified voice ​representing the interests of Pakistani businesses.

Combined influence ‌to Address Critical Issues

Anjum Nisar, Vice Chairman of the Businessmen Group (BMG), highlighted the significant potential of ‍a coordinated effort‍ between the KCCI and ‍LCCI. Representing over 90% of Pakistan’s economic activity, their ⁢combined influence is expected⁤ to exert considerable pressure on the government to address pressing ‍concerns. These include the escalating ‌shortages and rising ​costs of essential utilities such as water, gas, and electricity.
