Karine Ferri is moving to RMC channels, a move confirmed by press release. She expressed her happiness about joining the RMC network, stating, “I am very happy to join the RMC channels and to open a new page with projects that look like me, both useful, accessible and turned to others.”
Stéphane Sallé de Chou, the head of the group’s entertainment division, commented on Ferri’s arrival, saying, “His arrival strengthens our desire to offer embodied formats that speak to as many peopel as possible. Viewers will discover a new Karine Ferri, as we have rarely seen before.”
This departure from TF1, while potentially surprising to some, has been a gradual process. In recent years, Ferri had been stepping back from TF1’s most prominent programs. Three years ago, she decided to leave her role on “Dance with the Stars,” expressing a desire to pursue other projects. She has continued to host “Criminal Chronicles” on TFX, another TF1 group channel, as well as various documentaries and lottery broadcasts.
At RMC BFM, Ferri is slated to host and produce new societal documentary formats. The RMC BFM press release also indicated that she will be involved in presenting and producing new family entertainment formats that focus on real-life stories with a human and sensitive approach. These projects are expected to be distributed across RMC Story and RMC Découverte, with potential involvement on Chérie 25 as it integrates into the group.
