The No. 5 Kansas City men’s soccer team hosts Massachusetts on Sunday afternoon at Durwood Soccer Stadium for its final regular-season home match and Senior Day celebration, kcroos.com reported.
Kansas City and Massachusetts Meet in Summit League Play
Kickoff is scheduled for noon CT, with senior festivities beginning prior at approximately 11:45 a.m. CT. Kansas City enters the matchup with a 10-2-2 overall record and a 3-0-0 mark in Summit League play. The Roos sit atop the conference standings with nine points and look to secure their third victory following a pair of road wins last week.
Massachusetts arrives in Missouri holding a 5-6-3 record overall and a 1-1-1 conference standing. The Minutemen currently occupy third place in the Summit League during their first season in the conference. Massachusetts enters the game following a 1-0 shutout against St. Thomas on Oct. 17, where Garrison Murphy scored the game-winning goal and goalkeeper Dean Linden recorded two saves.

Honoring the Senior Class
Kansas City will recognize seven student-athletes before the opening whistle. Guille Munoz, Bryson Gosch, Mathias Baucher, Jeremy Francou, Mariano Beunza, and Gabriel Santauri will be honored alongside Parker Waruch and Josh Walker. This senior group has helped lead the program to Summit League regular-season and tournament championships, NCAA Tournament appearances, and a run to the Sweet 16.
Beyond their performances on the pitch, Waruch and Walker have managed daily operations and the program’s creative presence.
Kansas City Climbs to No. 5 in National Poll
The Roos climbed to No. 5 in the United Soccer Coaches national poll following a 2-0 shutout over Delaware and a 2-1 victory over Penn last week. Raphael Kistmann scored the game-winning goal and added an assist against Penn, contributing to a total of four different goal scorers across the two road matches. Kistmann, Mariano Beunza, and Mark Ramarola continue to anchor the team’s offensive output.
Kansas City holds a 1-0-0 advantage in the all-time series against Massachusetts, having secured a 3-2 road victory during last season’s meeting.
Closing the Regular Season in Omaha
Following Sunday’s contest, Kansas City concludes its regular-season schedule with a road match against Omaha.
