Kalshi Inks Deals with Five MLB Teams Amid League-Level Talks
Prediction market platform Kalshi secured multi-year brand partnerships with five Major League Baseball franchises on Tuesday, encompassing the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and San Francisco Giants. The deals introduce stadium advertising, digital promotions, and app-based fan incentives as the platform pursues a separate league-level agreement with Major League Baseball.
Expanding Footprint Across Major League Baseball Ballparks
The newly announced multi-year agreements grant Kalshi visible branding real estate across ballparks and digital networks. According to reporting by Reuters, the partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers includes prominent LED signage surrounding Dodger Stadium alongside exclusive on-site activations throughout the baseball season. Furthermore, the Dodgers granted Kalshi naming rights to the Golden Glove Bar within the stadium.
Fans interacting with the platform will see club-specific offers integrated directly into the Kalshi app, marrying traditional sports fandom with the mechanics of event contracts. Additional brand visibility elements include logo placements on physical signage both inside and outside the partner stadiums, as well as joint digital and radio promotions designed to capture regional fan bases.
Surging Volumes and the Regulatory Landscape
The timing of these stadium deals coincides with a massive volume expansion for prediction markets. Kalshi reported that baseball-related contracts traded on its platform reached nearly 13 billion so far in 2026, marking a 36-fold increase compared to the roughly 355 million contracts recorded during the same period in 2025.
“It only makes sense to extend that fandom to some of the most beloved baseball teams in America,” said Adam Barrick, Kalshi’s head of sports partnerships, in a statement cited by Fortune. Financial terms of the five agreements were kept private.
This rapid commercial growth unfolds against a backdrop of legal scrutiny. Beyond individual team contracts, a person familiar with Kalshi’s operations told Fortune that the prediction market startup is actively engaged in discussions with Major League Baseball regarding a separate partnership with the league itself. Securing a league-wide agreement would mirror similar sports industry alignments forged over the past year.
Competition within the sports prediction category remains intense. Earlier this month, rival platform Polymarket announced a partnership with the New York Yankees, securing official gameplay data access. Meanwhile, sports trading app Novig finalized a multiyear agreement with the New York Mets in July. Major League Baseball also established a memorandum of understanding with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in March, setting frameworks for information sharing regarding integrity issues in event contracts.
