K-Pop Stars Reimagined as Pixar’s Ratatouille Characters by AI
Artificial intelligence has reimagined the members of the K-pop group featured in the upcoming Netflix film, Las guerreras k-pop, placing them within the universe of Pixar’s Ratatouille. The digitally altered images depict Rumi, Mira, and Zoey integrated into the culinary world of the animated classic, surrounded by kitchen implements and with the Eiffel Tower visible in the background.
The AI-generated artwork, reported by TYC Sports, gives the characters a more caricatured aesthetic, with larger eyes, broader smiles, and stylized proportions consistent with Pixar’s animation style. Despite these changes, the reimagined characters retain elements of their “warrior” personas, incorporating “bright elements and fantastic details,” according to the report.
Las guerreras k-pop, originally titled KPop Demon Hunters, is scheduled for release on Netflix in 2025. The film, produced by Sony Pictures Animation, centers on the lives of K-pop superstars who secretly use their powers to protect their fans from supernatural threats. The cast includes Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, and Ken Jeong.
A trailer for the film features an original song performed by Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung of the K-pop group TWICE. Netflix offers subscriptions starting at $7.99.
