juventus Shifts Kolo Muani Pursuit too Loan, Vlahovic‘s Future Clarifies
TURIN, ITALY – August 29, 2025 – Juventus is now prioritizing a season-long loan deal for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kolo Muani, according to reports from Le Parisien and Sky Sport Italia. The shift in strategy comes as Juventus anticipates retaining striker Dusan Vlahovic, whose €12 million net annual salary represents a significant financial commitment for the club, at least until January and potentially for the entire campaign.
Initial discussions regarding Muani involved a potential obligation to buy, but Juventus is now seeking a “dry loan” – a loan without any purchase obligation – and potentially even foregoing an option to buy altogether. This adjustment is largely driven by financial Fair Play considerations and the financial strain of Vlahovic’s salary.
Sky Italia transfer reporter Gianluca Di Marzio described the revised offer as “a very expensive loan with an obligation linked to certain conditions,” though the specifics of those conditions remain unclear due to fluctuating negotiation terms.
Juventus faces a Monday deadline to finalize any deal. The club’s limited financial versatility means they would likely be responsible for the majority, if not all, of Muani’s €8 million net salary during the 2025-26 season, as reported by la Gazzetta dello Sport.
PSG Sporting Director Luis Comolli acknowledged the ongoing negotiations, stating, “There are still many things that can happen until Monday evening. We will do everything possible to improve the squad.” He refrained from directly commenting on Muani’s situation with Juventus, noting the player remains contracted to PSG despite being absent from training since the team’s return from the Club World Cup break earlier this month.
