Justin Timberlake Reveals Lyme Disease Battle, Explains Recent Performances
Pop star Justin Timberlake has announced in an emotional Instagram posting that he is ill with Lyme disease. The singer shared that he has been struggling with health problems,offering an explanation for his sometimes criticized stage performances.
Timberlake described life with Lyme disease as mentally and physically “relentlessly abandoning.” He expressed initial shock at the diagnosis, which provided an explanation for the severe nerve pain he experiences during appearances, along with fatigue and weakness.
Despite these challenges, Timberlake decided to continue his tour, stating that the joy he derives from performing outweighs the physical stress. He noted that while he is typically a private person, he now wishes to be more open about his struggles to prevent his behavior from being misunderstood.
Timberlake has been on his “Forget Tomorrow World” tour globally as April 2024. The previous year saw him cancel several concerts with short notice. He also made headlines in June 2024 following an arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol, for which he later pleaded guilty.
