Junya Enoki requested that co-host Hiroki Yasumoto wear a cat costume for an upcoming birthday special during the broadcast of the ABEMA original program Seiyuu to Yozasobi Tsuki [Hiroki Yasumoto x Junya Enoki] #19 on the 5th.

The broadcast featured a planning session for Enoki’s birthday, which falls on the 19th. Staff members presented several celebration proposals for Enoki to judge using a two-choice system of “happy” or “not so much.” Staff noted they still have not fully pinned down what pleases Enoki despite six months passing since he assumed the MC role.

Birthday Proposals and Rejections

When staff suggested a plan where viewers would praise Enoki, he gave a lukewarm response, stating he is already used to being praised. Instead, Enoki requested that staff worship him and build a shrine in his honor. Yasumoto immediately questioned the shift from praise to worship and the demand for a shrine.

Additional ideas included eating the world’s best mushrooms and playing with 100 cats. Because Enoki dislikes mushrooms and has a cat allergy, alternative concepts were explored. Enoki then suggested that Yasumoto wear a cat costume and play with him instead of using real cats. Yasumoto rejected the idea, stating his management agency would not allow it. When Enoki pushed to make a direct offer bypassing the agency, Yasumoto refused with a laugh.

Financial Demands and Lemon Quizzes

Other rejected or evaluated birthday concepts included eating Yasumoto’s home-cooked meals, experiencing an aesthetic treatment, celebrating with a massive cake, and watching a magic show. Enoki concluded the planning session by demanding money. When Yasumoto offered 50,000 yen, Enoki retracted the request immediately, calling the amount too realistic and frightening.
