Junior Rugby Camps: ASM & Elite Academy Training
Elite Rugby Academy, in partnership with ASM (USA), is hosting a two-day talent identification camp at Wasps FC in London, beginning Wednesday, February 18th, 2026. The camp aims to assess players aged 14-17, specifically those in years 10-13, for potential progression into the US rugby system.
The intensive program, led by a coaching team that includes former British Lions and England Front Row Alex Corbisiero, will run from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm each day. Participants will undergo high-intensity training sessions focused on core skills, game understanding, and decision-making. Evaluations will include live game scenarios, athletic profiling assessing speed and physical potential, and position-specific work.
According to the Elite Rugby Academy, the camp is designed to mirror the criteria used by US colleges and Major League Rugby (MLR) organizations. Coaches will also assess players’ coachability and character, focusing on how they respond to feedback and operate within a high-performance environment. The program is not described as a trial, but rather a “structured Talent ID environment” intended to identify suitable candidates for the US pathway.
The cost for the two-day camp is £149.00, with payment due at the time of booking. Players are expected to bring their own boots, weather-appropriate kit, protective gear including a gumshield, lunch, a notebook and pen, and a water bottle. ERA members are eligible for a discount code available through the 360 Player platform.
Elite Rugby Academy also offers similar camps at Dartford RFC in Kent and Wasps FC for Easter 2026, running from April 7th to April 9th. These are three-day programs for players aged 11-17, also costing £149.00 for the full program. The Academy provides a pathway for UK players seeking opportunities to study and play rugby at American universities, including potential scholarship opportunities.
A free parent webinar is being hosted by ERA and ASM to explain the details of US rugby scholarships and pathways for those considering the Talent ID Camp. The Academy’s website, eliterugbyacademy.co.uk, provides further information on the camps and the US pathway program.
