Jungle Announces ‘Sunshine’ Album & 2024-2027 World Tour Dates
Jungle Announces Recent Album, Extensive World Tour
British band Jungle will release their fifth studio album, Sunshine, on August 14 via AWAL and will embark on a global tour spanning North America, Europe, and Australia in support of the record. The announcement comes after a period of significant recognition for the group, including winning the Group of the Year award at the 2024 BRIT Awards.
The new album follows 2023’s Volcano, which achieved a career-best debut at No. 3 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart. Lead single “Carry On” previews the sound of Sunshine, though details regarding the album’s themes and production remain limited.
The tour kicks off September 9 at The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and includes performances in major cities across North America, including Chicago, Toronto, New York, and Los Angeles. The band will then cross the Atlantic for a European leg, with dates in Lisbon, Madrid, Paris, and Berlin, among others. The tour concludes with four shows in Australia in March 2027.
Jungle’s lineup now includes Josh Lloyd-Watson, Tom McFarland, and vocalist Lydia Kitto, who became a permanent member in 2023 after contributing to Loving in Stereo and Volcano, and performing extensively with the live group. The band originally formed in 2013, evolving from the short-lived shoegaze band Born Blonde, comprised of Lloyd-Watson and McFarland, who have been friends since childhood.
The group gained recognition for initially concealing their identities, known only as J and T, and emphasizing the visual elements accompanying their music. They have since expanded into a seven-piece collective for live performances.
Tickets for the Sunshine tour move on sale to the general public on Friday, March 27. A full list of tour dates is available on the band’s website, junglejunglejungle.com.
