Junghwan Lee has earned his DP World Tour card, succeeding byeong Hun An as the highest finisher from the Asian Tour Order of Merit. The 22-year-old South Korean secured the top spot following the final event of the Asian Tour season, the Indonesian Masters, on October 27, 2023.
Lee’s achievement grants him full playing rights on the DP World Tour for the 2024 season. This marks a notable step in his career, following in the footsteps of Byeong Hun An, who topped the Order of Merit in 2022 and subsequently competed on the PGA Tour. The DP World Tour provides a platform for Lee to compete against some of Europe’s and the world’s leading golfers, offering increased exposure and opportunities for advancement.
The Asian Tour Order of Merit determines the top players who gain access to the DP World tour. Lee finished with a total of $322,287 in earnings, surpassing the competition and claiming the coveted number one position. This success comes after a consistent season of strong performances on the Asian Tour, culminating in a breakthrough victory.
