Julien Doré Prioritizes Family, Considers Stepping Back From music For Son
Paris, France – French singer-songwriter Julien Doré has revealed he is prepared to put his successful music career on hold to prioritize his four-year-old son’s well-being. The artist, who rose to prominence through the reality show Nouvelle Star, shared his evolving priorities in recent interviews with Le parisien and Closer Mag,expressing a desire to shield his child from the pressures of his fame.
doré, now settled in his native Cévennes region of southern France after a decade in Paris, stated that the birth of his son “refocused everything,” diminishing his self-absorption. “I didn’t think I’d have children, it wasn’t really a goal. But it refocused everything… All that has disappeared. The only thing is that he’s little… I wish I wasn’t a burden to him,” he told readers of Le Parisien. He further confessed, “I wish I wasn’t… me anymore” as his son begins to form his own identity and grapple with his father’s public recognition.
The singer acknowledged the potential for a career pause, stating this is “a big subject for me over the next ten years maximum.” While currently balancing touring – performing roughly three concerts a week – with family life, Doré emphasized the importance of a “balanced and mega healthy” lifestyle centered around nature and his son.He described his current life as fulfilling a long-held dream: “It was my only dream, to return to calm. A house, a family life, my dogs… It’s undoubtedly what does me the most good in life.”
Doré’s decision reflects a broader shift towards prioritizing personal fulfillment and family over career ambition, a sentiment echoed by many artists in recent years.Despite his continued success, with a string of hits to his name, the artist appears resolute in his commitment to being a present and supportive father.
