Jujuy Education Ministry Meets to Streamline Regional Management & Support Programs

March 20, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

Guatemala’s Ministry of Education convened its first regional coordination meeting this week, aiming to standardize work practices and management strategies across the country’s educational provinces. The meeting, led by the General Coordination of Educational Regions, focused on key issues impacting educators and students, including teacher stipends, resource availability, and the functionality of the pension system, as well as procedures related to the Department of Titles.

A central priority identified during the meeting was the streamlining of administrative processes, with a focus on adapting to the specific realities and challenges faced by each region. Officials emphasized the need for agility in addressing localized problems within the education system.

The Ministry also highlighted progress in aligning with the “Healthy School Environments” program. This initiative seeks to provide comprehensive support to educational communities, promoting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of both students and teachers. The program aims to integrate a holistic approach to education, recognizing the interconnectedness of these factors.

The Ministry of Education’s website, updated as of August 23, 2024, lists ongoing projects including the supervision of construction for diversified level institutes in Rabinal, Baja Verapaz, and Chisec, Alta Verapaz. The site also provides access to information regarding the 2026 school calendar and the National Basic Curriculum. As of today, March 20, 2026, the Ministry’s online portal shows 205 users currently connected.

The Ministry of Education is located at 6a. Calle 1-87 Zona 10, 01010, Guatemala, C.A., and can be reached by phone at (502) 2411-9595. The office is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
