Film star Jude Law is set to portray legendary Liverpool FC manager Bill Shankly in a new television series charting the club’s history, while Rangers and Celtic claim positions in the latest valuation list of British football squads, according to Yahoo Sports.

Jude Law, known for roles in The Talented Mr. Ripley and the Sherlock Holmes franchise, will step into the shoes of the iconic Scottish manager, Yahoo Sports reported. The drama is penned by Adolescence writer Jack Thorne, who has already completed the first two episodes. Liverpool FC chairman Tom Werner stated to Deadline that the production could mirror the scope of The Crown.

According to Deadline, A24 is no longer involved in the series, though Box To Box Films remains attached. Filming is scheduled to take place in Liverpool and at Anfield. Bill Shankly took charge of Liverpool in December 1959, leading the club from the old Second Division to multiple First Division championships, FA Cups, and the UEFA Cup before stepping down in 1974. Shankly’s granddaughter, Karen Gill, author of The Real Bill Shankly, is participating in the project.

Away from the screen, Transfermarkt valuation data places Rangers at £132m, ranking them as the 23rd most valuable squad in British football, Yahoo Sports reported. Celtic sits at £104m, taking the 28th spot. Both Scottish clubs trail the 20 Premier League sides as well as Championship clubs West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Heart of Midlothian stands at £21m—listed at 49th—while Hibernian sits two places further down at £15m.
