JPMorgan Appoints Eleni Skoura to Lead Chase Germany, Internal Memo Says

October 8, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

JPMorgan Chase has appointed Eleni Skoura to lead its Chase business in Germany, according to an internal memo reviewed by Reuters. Skoura, who previously served as head of retail banking at ING Romania, is set to assume the position on January 1.

The appointment comes as the bank reshuffles its leadership within its international consumer banking division. Skoura will report to her predecessor, Daniel Llano Manibardo, who is transitioning to lead that division at the beginning of next year. JPMorgan Appoints Eleni Skoura as Head of Chase Germany.

Strategic Expansion in the German Market

In her new role, Skoura is tasked with overseeing the continued expansion of the Chase brand in Germany. This mandate includes the rollout of a new product portfolio for the bank’s digital retail operations. Skoura brings more than two decades of international banking experience to the role, having previously held senior positions at Garanti Bank and Piraeus Bank.

The division she joins operates as part of JPMorgan’s international consumer banking arm, which encompasses digital retail banking in Germany and the United Kingdom, alongside the digital wealth manager J.P. Morgan Personal Investing in the UK.

Skoura Takes over Day-To-Day Operations of Chase Germany

While Skoura takes over the day-to-day operations of the Chase business in Germany, Manibardo will maintain a significant role within the organization. In his new capacity as CEO of the international consumer banking division, he will supervise the bank’s expansion into additional European markets.

Manibardo will also remain a member of the management board of J.P. Morgan SE, the Frankfurt-based European entity that serves as the operator for the bank’s German Chase business. While the memo outlines the new leadership structure, specific timelines for the launch of the new product portfolio remain unstated.
