Jose Mourinho has expressed his eagerness to return to coaching in Portugal in the near future.
The renowned Portuguese manager,who departed his homeland in the summer of 2004 to take the helm at Chelsea shortly after leading FC Porto to Champions League triumph,is currently in his 11th managerial role. His illustrious career boasts 26 major honors across stints with porto, Chelsea, inter milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United, adn Roma.
When questioned about his future coaching aspirations, whether it be at the club level or with the Portuguese national team, Mourinho responded with a simple, “Anything.”
Earlier this year, Mourinho refuted claims that he had engaged in discussions with the Portuguese Football federation regarding the national team manager position ahead of the 2026 World Cup. However, he did acknowledge in the past that he had declined the possibility to manage Portugal on two occasions.
Mourinho’s most recent managerial role was with Fenerbahce, where the team secured the runners-up position in the Turkish Super Lig behind Galatasaray last season.
