Jorge Jiménez Fills Zaragoza for Batman ‘All In’ Launch & Comic’s Popularity

February 22, 2026 Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor Entertainment

Zaragoza, Spain – Hundreds of fans lined up Saturday at Milcomics.com to meet Jorge Jiménez, the artist currently leading the creative charge on DC Comics’ Batman title, as part of the Spanish launch of “All In Batman #1.” The event marked the beginning of Jiménez’s tour across Spain.

The signing drew a significant crowd, with fans arriving an hour before the scheduled 6:30 PM start, eager to secure a place in line for an autograph, according to reports. Jiménez expressed his enthusiasm for returning to Zaragoza, recalling a previous signing event at the same location years prior. “I really wanted to repeat the experience; I wanted to come back and feel the response from the people here again,” he said.

The release of “All In Batman #1” coincides with a major editorial shift for DC Comics, dubbed the ‘All In’ initiative. This relaunch aims to revitalize its core characters with established creative teams, hoping to appeal to both long-time readers and newcomers. The current Batman run, written by Matt Fraction, is described as a blend of urban thriller and psychological exploration, focusing on Bruce Wayne’s detective work and the atmosphere of Gotham City.

Jiménez’s involvement is considered particularly important given the early success of the new Batman title. The first issue has reportedly sold over half a million copies in the United States, a significant achievement for the series and its creative team. The artist acknowledged the weight of the project, stating that being entrusted with the relaunch was both “excitement, and pressure.” “That DC has trusted me with this project is a real privilege,” he said, adding that “bringing a character like Batman to life carries a great responsibility.”

The event at Milcomics.com was structured to manage the large turnout, with attendees receiving numbered tickets in order of arrival. Jiménez signed copies of the comic but did not offer sketches. Attendees were limited to having a maximum of three comics signed.

Jiménez, known for his work on titles including Superman and Justice League, is lauded for a drawing style that blends American comic aesthetics with manga influences. He is currently considered one of Spain’s most prominent comic book artists. The tour will continue to other Spanish cities in the coming weeks.
