Jordan Dominates Dominican Republic 3-0 in Pleasant Ahead of Arab Cup & World Cup Qualifiers
AMMAN – The Jordanian national team secured a decisive 3-0 victory over the Dominican Republic in a friendly match today, bolstering confidence ahead of their participation in the upcoming Arab Cup and continuing preparations for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The match served as a crucial final test before Jordan enters the Arab Cup, scheduled for December 1st to 18th in Qatar, where they will compete in Group C against Egypt, the united Arab Emirates, and the winner of the Kuwait vs.Mauritania match.
This victory marks a positive momentum for Jordan, who recently became the first Arab team to officially qualify for the next world Cup after finishing second in Group B of the third round of Asian qualifiers, surpassing Iraq, Oman, Palestine, and Kuwait. The team is currently under the leadership of Jamal Al-Salami, whose position has been subject to recent discussion regarding the potential appointment of a global coach.
Ali Alwan opened the scoring for Jordan in the 7th minute. Ibrahim Saadeh extended the lead in the 48th minute with a well-placed shot. The final goal came in the 92nd minute from Abu Zureik, solidifying the 3-0 result.
