Jokić Assist to Curry: NBA Highlights & Saturday 7PM Diet
Nikola Jokić of the Denver Nuggets recorded a 56-point triple-double against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Christmas Day, December 26, 2025, breaking a record previously held by Stephen Curry. Jokić’s performance included 56 points, 16 rebounds, and 15 assists, marking the first time in NBA history a player has achieved at least 55 points, 15 rebounds, and 15 assists in a single game. The Serb center scored 18 of his 56 points during overtime, surpassing Curry’s previous record of 17 overtime points set in 2016. The Nuggets defeated the Timberwolves 142-138 after Minnesota rallied from a 15-point deficit in the final five minutes of regulation. Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 44 points, including a game-tying three-pointer that forced the extra period. Edwards was subsequently ejected from overtime due to arguing with officials. The triple-double was Jokić’s 176th career triple-double. The Nuggets currently hold third place in the Western Conference, even as the Timberwolves are in fifth. Footage circulating online also shows Jokić executing a no-look pass to Curry during a recent game, a play likened to one often performed by Jokić himself. A short video posted on YouTube on November 26, 2025, highlights Curry attempting a similar pass. The Denver Nuggets are scheduled to play their next game on February 28th against the Los Angeles Lakers.
