Speaking on his podcast, Iacono alluded to “a couple bombshells still there,” suggesting the publicly known reasons for the show’s break may not represent the complete picture.
The late-night talk show entered a production hiatus following the Writers Guild of America strike and has remained off-air despite the strike’s resolution, fueling speculation about internal issues. Iacono’s comments, made alongside fellow podcast host Bill Simmons, indicate a level of sensitivity surrounding the situation, with both men acknowledging they possess details they are currently unwilling to share. The future of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and its potential return to production remain unclear, with Iacono stating he will share more information “when I can.”
During the podcast, Iacono recounted a previous conversation with Kimmel, relaying, “And Jimmy’s like, ‘Well, next time tell them, “I’m not too worried about what happens; my cousin Jimmy is an excellent dancer.”‘”
