Jiménez Díaz Foundation Celebrates 90 Years of Medical Innovation

Madrid, September ​28, 2025 – The⁢ jiménez Díaz Foundation ⁢(FJD) ‍today commemorates 90 years of ​pioneering medical ⁢care, education, and ⁣research in Spain.Founded by Prof. carlos Jiménez Díaz, the hospital‌ -⁤ affectionately​ known as “The Shell“‌ in tribute ​to ‍Concepción Rábago, the founder’s wife – has long ​been a benchmark for quality and⁢ clinical safety within the Spanish​ healthcare system.

To mark the milestone, the FJD has launched “Future of our‍ History,” an audiovisual project featuring nine videos and podcasts.The series⁢ showcases ⁤the perspectives of 18 professionals spanning different ⁤generations, ‍reflecting on ⁤the ⁤evolution of​ medicine, future challenges, and⁣ the core ‌values of the institution. conversations were recorded at the​ Hospital Aula Magna,⁤ bringing together both established‍ figures and⁢ emerging talents.

The campaign highlights key ‌pillars of the⁢ FJD’s ‌success: applied research, medical ‍training, empathy, technological innovation, and patient-centered care. The ‍Foundation envisions continuing to advance medicine from its expanding hospital campus, with a renewed commitment ​to leaving a lasting impact on Spanish healthcare – a vision mirroring the ambition ‍held 90 years ⁢ago. Generations of professionals identify as “Conchitos,” a term embodying pride ‌and belonging within the FJD community.
