Jia Nai Liang Addresses Acting Career Challenges and Sales

October 27, 2026 Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor Entertainment

Actor Jia Nai Liang generated transactions exceeding 570 million yuan, or about 2.2 trillion Vietnamese dong, during a live-streaming sales event on the opening day of the Singles’ Day shopping festival in mid-October.

Sina Finance Estimates Jia Nai Liang Earned 17 Million Yuan

The single-day total on the Chinese social media event sparked wide attention across online platforms. Sina Finance estimated that a 30 percent cut of a hypothetical 10 percent commission could yield roughly 17 million yuan for the actor, though neither Jia Nai Liang nor his representatives confirmed any specific earnings figures from the broadcast.

Despite the high-volume sales figures that show his strong standing in the e-commerce sector, Jia Nai Liang addressed the distinct challenges facing his acting career. Responding to online queries regarding his continued focus on product sales, the actor stated that he found himself in a position where he “had no films in which to play.”

Career Realities at Age Forty-Two

Now forty-two, the Beijing Film Academy graduate noted that the film market has grown more complex than during his earlier career. He described a dwindling number of incoming project offers from directors and pointed to a difficult middle ground in casting. He explained that he no longer fits younger idol roles easily, yet struggles to comfortably inhabit older character parts amid competition from younger performers.

Jia Nai Liang also evaluated his own performances candidly, remarking that despite varied call times, wrap times, or hours spent memorizing lines, the final screen output often feels merely satisfactory to him. Born in Harbin in 1984, the actor built a television career beginning with Beijing Holiday in 2002 and The Great Tang Dynasty’s Empress in 2003, later winning best urban drama actor at the eighth Huading Awards in 2012 for his role in When Mother-in-Law Meets Mother-in-Law.

His subsequent credits span romantic dramas and features such as The Most Beautiful Time, Ice and Fire of Youth, and Special Police Team, extending into recent projects like Season of Reunion and Family Love in 2022. According to Sina Finance, the actor remains committed to his profession and indicated readiness to return to film sets whenever opportunities arise.
