Jennifer Lopez attended the Los Angeles Opera Ball on October 17, choosing a theatrical Dolce & Gabbana ensemble for the opening night gala of “Carmen” at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

The 57-year-old entertainer completed the look with an Art Deco necklace, black open-toe platform heels, and a matching clutch, styling her hair in a low bun.

Her appearance follows a recent trend of pop stars attending major opera productions, following Dua Lipa’s visit to Teatro alla Scala earlier in September. The LA Opera acknowledged the visit publicly, stating on social media, “What a night! ✨ Thank you for joining us for opening night of ‘Carmen!'”

The new production of “Carmen” is directed by Thaddeus Strassberger and conducted by Domingo Hindoyan. It stars Rihab Chaieb, Joshua Guerrero, Kathleen O’Mara, and Liam James Karai, and runs through November 7, 2026.

The public appearance coincides with a significant personal milestone for Lopez, whose 18-year-old twins, Max and Oskar Muniz, recently left home for college. Lopez shares the twins with her former husband, Marc Anthony, whom she married in 2004.
