Jeff Rosenstock: Infinite Metro Shows – Tickets On Sale Now!

by Emma Walker – News Editor

Jeff Rosenstock and his band have announced an unprecedented run of shows at Chicago’s Metro, beginning July 16th. Tickets for the initial performance go on sale tomorrow, February 25th, at 10:00 AM CST via Rosenstock’s website, jeffrosenstock.com. The arrangement mirrors a similar series of shows the band played in Brooklyn several years ago.

The band intends to add subsequent show dates at the Metro incrementally, announcing each new performance only after the previous one sells out. This approach, according to a statement released by Rosenstock, will continue “until you’ve had enough of us.” The band plans to perform a rotating setlist, drawing from their entire catalog, with different supporting acts each night. Performances are expected to run approximately two hours.

Rosenstock described Chicago as a city that “has always felt like home,” despite the band members not being based there. The Metro, a venue the band “fuckin’ love[s],” was chosen for its legendary status and capacity to accommodate the extended run. The band anticipates playing “whatever ya wanted to hear” over the course of the engagement.

This announcement follows Rosenstock’s previously announced “No Dream Tour,” which features support from Slaughter Beach, Dog and Oceanator, as reported by New Noise Magazine. Rosenstock also undertook a “NO DREAM Tour” in winter 2021, during which he performed his album SKA DREAM in its entirety, according to mxdwn Music.
